Evan Scribner, relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2007 by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched in the Diamondbacks' minor league system for just a year and a half before he was traded to the San Diego Padres on July 17, 2008. He then continued in the minors through 2010.

Scribner pitched in 10 games with the Padres in 2011. He had a 7.07 ERA in 14.0 innings. He also pitched in 28 games in the minors.

The Oakland Athletics claimed Scribner off waivers on October 25, 2011. He split his time in 2012 between the majors and the minors. In 30 games with the Athletics, he had 2 wins and no losses, 1 save, 30 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a career low ERA of 2.55 in 35.1 innings. The following season, he had a 4.39 ERA in 26.2 innings in 18 games. He spent most of the 2014 season in the minors, pitching just 11.2 innings in 13 games with the Athletics.

In 2015, Scribner had career highs in games played (54), innings pitched (60.0), and strikeouts (64 to just 4 walks). He had a 4.35 ERA.

Scribner was traded to the Seattle Mariners on December 8, 2015. He spent most of the 2016 season on the DL with a right lat strain. He pitched in just 12 games with the Mariners.

The Mariners released Scribner on September 5, 2017. He pitched just 7.1 innings in 8 games with the Mariners in 2017 and he had an 11.05 ERA.

Scribner signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on February 6, 2018, and he was released on March 7, 2018. He played in the independent Atlantic League in 2018.

Scribner hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
