Harold Ramirez, outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays, signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2011. He played in the Pirates' minor league system from 2012 through August 1, 2016, when he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. He continued to play in the minors through the 2016 season.
Ramirez spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons in the minors.
Ramirez became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins on December 3, 2018. He finished the 2019 season with 116 hits, 20 doubles, 50 RBIs, 91 strikeouts to 18 walks, and a .276 batting average in 119 games. Defensively, he played 61 games in left field, 27 games in center field, and 55 games in right field, and he made 252 putouts and 1 error.
Ramirez played in just 3 games with the Marlins in 2020. He also played in the Caribbean Series.
The Cleveland Guardians claimed Ramirez off waivers on February 24, 2021. He spent time on the IL in 2021 with a hamstring strain. He finished the season with 91 hits, 21 doubles, 41 RBIs, 56 strikeouts to 14 walks, and a .268 batting average in 99 games.
Ramirez was traded to the Chicago Cubs on November 22, 2021. He was traded again on March 25, 2022, this time to the Rays.
