Jacob Barnes, relief pitcher for the New York Yankees, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2011. He played in their minor league system from 2011 through 2015, pitching both from the starting rotation and from the bullpen.

In 2016, Barnes pitched in 27 games with the Brewers. He finished the season with no wins and 1 loss, 1 save, 26 strikeouts to 6 walks, and a 2.70 ERA in 26.2 innings. He also pitched 25.0 innings in 20 games in the minors.
