Jaff Decker, outfielder, was a top baseball player in high school. In 2008, his senior year, he was named Arizona's High School Baseball Player of the Year. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres that June and he played in their minor league system from 2008 through 2012.
In 2013, Decker joined the Padres for 13 games. He hit his first major league hit, a home run, on August 12th. He spent most of the season in the minors, playing in 105 games there.
Decker was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates on November 25, 2013. He spent most of the 2014 and 2015 seasons in the minors, playing in just 5 games with the Pirates in 2014 and in 23 games with them in 2015.
Decker became a free agent on December 2, 2015. He signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on January 26, 2016. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, playing in just 19 games with the Rays.
Decker became a free agent again on October 9, 2016. The following month, on November 22nd, he signed a minor league contract with the Oakland Athletics. He was designated for assignment by the Athletics on May 9, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 17 games with the Athletics.
Decker elected free agency on October 2, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on May 22, 2018. He was released on July 19th. He played only in the minors in 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
