James Pazos, pitcher, was first drafted in 2009 by the Tampa Bay Rays but he opted instead to attend college. Three years later, he was drafted by the New York Yankees. He pitched in the Yankees' minor league system from 2012 through 2014.

Pazos spent most of the 2015 and 2016 seasons in the minors. In 2015, he pitched in 11 games with the Yankees and in 2016, he pitched just 3.1 innings in 7 games with them.

The Yankees traded Pazos to the Seattle Mariners on November 18, 2016. He finished the 2017 season with 4 wins and 5 losses, 65 strikeouts to 24 walks, and a 3.86 ERA in 59 games with the Mariners.

In 2018, Pazos pitched in 60 games with the Mariners. He finished the season with 4 wins and 1 loss, 45 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a 2.88 ERA in 50.0 innings.

Pazos was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies on December 3, 2018. The Phillies traded him to the Colorado Rockies on April 26, 2019. He spent most of the 2019 season in the minors, pitching just 10.1 innings in 12 games with the Rockies.

Pazos pitched just 5.1 innings in 6 games in 2020. He had an ERA of 16.88.

Pazos became a free agent on October 9, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 11, 2020. He played only in the minors in 2021.

Pazos became a free agent again on November 7, 2021.
