Johan Camargo, infielder for the Kansas City Royals, was signed by the Atlanta Braves in July, 2010. He played in their minor league system from 2012 through 2016.

In 2017, Camargo played in 82 games with the Braves. He had 72 hits, 21 doubles, 27 RBIs, 51 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a .299 batting average. Defensively, he played 9 games at second base, 43 games at third base, 26 games at shortstop, and 1 game in left field.

Carmago had a good 2018 season, finishing with a .272 batting average in 134 games. He had 126 hits, 27 doubles, 19 home runs, 76 RBIs, and 108 strikeouts to 51 walks. Defensively, as the Braves' third baseman in 114 games, he made 170 assists, 64 putouts, and 10 errors. In the postseason, he had no hits in 15 at-bats in 4 games.

Carmago spent time on the DL in 2019 with a right shin fracture. He finished the season with 54 hits, 32 RBIs, 43 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a .233 batting average in 98 games. Defensively, he played all infield positions and in left field and right field. He didn't play in the postseason.

Camargo played in 35 games in 2020. He finished the season with 24 hits and a batting average of .200. Defensively, he played 21 games at second base and 10 games at third base. In the postseason, he had 2 hits in 8 at-bats in 4 games.

Camargo spent most of the 2021 season in the minors, playing in just 15 games with the Braves. In the postseason, he played in 4 games and he had no hits in 4 at-bats. After the postseason ended, he played in the Dominican Winter League.

Camargo became a free agent on November 30, 2021. He signed with the Philadelphia Phillies on December 1st.

Camargo elected free agency on October 6, 2022. He signed a minor league contract with the Royals on January 25, 2023.
