Jose Osuna, outfielder, signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in December, 2009. He played in the Pirates' minor league system from 2010 through 2016. Defensively, he was a utility player, playing 387 games at first base, 94 games in left field, and 107 games in right field.

Osuna was called up to the major leagues on April 18, 2017, to replace Starling Marte. He finished the 2017 season with 50 hits, 13 doubles, 30 RBIs, 40 strikeouts to 9 walks, and a .233 batting average in 104 games. Defensively, he played 23 games at first base, 14 games in left field, and 25 games in right field.

Osuna spent much of the 2018 season in the minors. In 51 games with the Pirates, he batted .226 with 24 hits. He also played in 82 games in the minors.

Osuna spent time on the DL and in the minors in 2019. He finished the season with 69 hits, 20 doubles, 36 RBIs, 48 strikeouts to 18 walks, and a .264 batting average in 95 games with the Pirates. Defensively, he played at first base and third base and in left field and right field. He also pitched in 2 games.

Osuna played in 26 games in 2020. He finished the season with a .205 batting average.

The Pirates released Osuna on November 23, 2020. He played in Japan in 2021.
