J.T. Riddle, infielder for the New York Mets, was drafted by the Miami Marlins in 2013. He played in the Marlins' minor league system from 2013 through 2016.

Riddle's first major league home run was a two-run walkoff win for the Marlins over the New York Mets on April 16, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with 57 hits, 13 doubles, 31 RBIs, 50 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a .250 batting average in 70 games. Defensively, as the Marlins' shortstop in 69 games, he made 177 assists, 33 double plays, 81 putouts, and 8 errors.

Riddle spent time on the DL in 2018. In 102 games with the Marlins, he batted .231 with 71 hits and 36 RBIs. Defensively, as the Marlins' shortstop in 95 games, he made 227 assists, 47 double plays, 115 putouts, and 6 errors.

Riddle spent time in the minors and on the DL in 2019. He batted .189 with 25 hits in 51 games with the Marlins.

Riddle became a free agent on December 2, 2019. He signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates on January 31, 2020. He played in just 23 games in 2020, and he batted .149.

Riddle elected free agency on October 5, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on December 22nd. He spent most of the 2021 season on the IL and in the minors. He played in just four games with the Twins.

Riddle became a free agent on October 13, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds on March 15, 2022. He was traded to the Mets on May 28th.
