Juan Graterol, catcher, was first signed by the Kansas City Royals in September, 2005. He played in the Royals' minor league system from 2006 through 2014.
Graterol became a free agent on November 4, 2014. Six days later, he signed with the New York Yankees. He played in the Yankees' minor league system in 2015.
Graterol became a free agent again on November 6, 2015. He signed with the Los Angeles Angels on January 12, 2016. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, joining the Angels for just nine games. He played in 68 games in the minor leagues.
The Cincinnati Reds claimed Graterol off waivers on November 28, 2016. A month later, on December 23rd, he was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Diamondbacks, but they designated him for assignment on January 13, 2017. He returned to the Angels on January 19th, when they claimed him off waivers. However, he didn't stay long with the Angels. He was claimed off waivers again on January 23rd, this time by the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays designated Graterol for assignment on April 14, 2017. He was traded back to the Angels on April 18th. He finished the 2017 season with a .202 batting average in 48 games with the Angels.
The Angels released Graterol on June 24, 2018. Four days later, he signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins. He spent most of the 2018 season on the DL and in the minors, playing in just one game with the Angels and three games with the Twins.
Graterol was claimed off waivers by the Reds on October 10, 2018. He elected free agency on November 30th, and one day later, signed a minor league contract with the Reds. He spent most of the 2019 season on the DL and in the minors, playing in just 6 games with the Reds.
Graterol became a free agent on October 21, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Twins on November 26, 2019. He didn't play professional baseball in 2020.
Graterol elected free agency on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Angels on December 29th. He was traded to the Blue Jays on March 31, 2021. He played only in the minors in 2021.
Graterol became a free agent on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 13th. He was released on August 1, 2022.
