Manny Pina, catcher for the Atlanta Braves, first signed with the Texas Rangers in September, 2004. He played in the Rangers' minor league system from 2005 through 2009. He was traded to the Kansas City Royals on September 3, 2009, and he continued to play in the minor leagues through 2013, joining the Royals for just four games in 2011 and one game in 2012.

Pina became a free agent in November, 2013. He signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners on January 17, 2014. He played in their minor league system until June 11, 2014, when he was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He then continued in the minors through 2015.

The Tigers traded Pina to the Milwaukee Brewers on December 10, 2015. He played in 33 games with the Brewers in 2016 and he had 18 hits and a .254 batting average. He also played in 63 games in the minors.

Pina played in 107 games with the Brewers in 2017. He finished the season with 92 hits, 21 doubles, 43 RBIs, 79 strikeouts to 20 walks, and a .279 batting average. Defensively, as a catcher in 102 games, he made 52 assists, 721 putouts, and 6 errors. He caught players trying to steal 35.6% of the time.

Pina spent time on the DL in 2018. He played in 98 games and he had 77 hits, 13 doubles, 28 RBIs, 62 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a .252 batting average. As a catcher in 92 games, he made 45 assists, 720 putouts, and 4 errors. He caught players trying to steal 40.8% of the time. In the postseason, he had 3 hits, including a double, and a .429 batting average in 7 at-bats in 5 games.

Pina spent time on the DL in 2019 with a right hamstring strain. He finished the season with 36 hits and a .228 batting average in 76 games. Defensively, he played 53 games as a catcher and 1 game as a third baseman. He didn't play in the postseason.

Pina played in just 15 games in 2020. He had a batting average of .231.

Pina spent time on the IL in 2021 with a fractured toe and left oblique tightness. He finished the season with 34 hits and a .189 batting average in 75 games.

Pina became a free agent on November 3, 2021. He signed with the Braves on November 15th.
