Matt Davidson, infielder for the Chicago White Sox, was first drafted in 2009 by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He played in the Diamondbacks' minor league system from 2009 through 2012.

Davidson played in 31 games with the Diamondbacks in 2013. He had 18 hits, including 6 doubles and 3 home runs.

Davidson was traded to the White Sox in December, 2013. He played in their minor league system from 2014 through most of 2016. He fractured his foot in his first game with the White Sox on June 30, 2016, and he spent the rest of the season on the DL.
