Mauricio Cabrera, relief pitcher, was signed by the Atlanta Braves in 2010. He played in their minor league system from 2011 through 2015. For the first three seasons, he was a starting pitcher. He transitioned to the bullpen in 2014, pitching as both a starter and a reliever. The following season, he pitched only as a reliever.

Cabrera pitched in 41 games with the Braves in 2016. He finished the season with 5 wins to 1 loss, 6 saves, 32 strikeouts to 19 walks, and a 2.82 ERA in 38.1 innings. He also pitched 33.2 innings in 25 games in the minors.

Cabrera spent the 2017 season in the minors.

Cabrera was released on July 11, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on July 20th. He spent the 2018 season on the DL and in the minors.

Cabrera spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Cabrera became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks on November 14th. He was released on May 22, 2020. He played only in the Dominican Winter League in 2020.

Cabrera played in the Mexican League and the Dominican Winter League in 2021.

Personal Life

Cabrera's brother, Alberto, pitched with the Chicago Cubs in 2012 and 2013. He is currently a free agent.
