Michael Ynoa, relief pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, first signed with the Oakland Athletics on July 2, 2008. He pitched in the Athletics' minor league system from 2010 through 2014. He had Tommy John surgery in August, 2010. He was primarily a starting pitcher from 2010 through 2013 and a relief pitcher only in 2014.

Ynoa was traded to the White Sox on December 9, 2014. He spent the entire 2015 season in the minors.

Ynoa pitched in 23 games with the White Sox in 2016. He had 1 win and no losses, 30 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a 3.00 ERA in 30.0 innings.

The White Sox designated Ynoa for assignment on July 6, 2017.
