Miguel Diaz, relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, first signed with the Milwaukee Brewers in December, 2011. He pitched as both a starting pitcher and as a relief pitcher in the Brewers' minor league system from 2012 through 2016.

The Minnesota Twins claimed Diaz off waivers on December 8, 2016. That same day, the Twins traded him to the San Diego Padres. He pitched in 31 games with the Padres in 2017. He finished the season with 1 win and 1 loss, 33 strikeouts to 25 walks, and a 7.34 ERA in 41.2 innings.

Diaz pitched in 11 games with the Padres in 2018, and he had a 4.82 ERA in 18.2 innings. He also pitched 78.1 innings in 24 games in the minors.

Diaz spent most of the 2019 season on the DL with a knee injury and surgery. He pitched just 6.1 innings in 5 games with the Padres.

Diaz played only in the Dominican Winter League in 2020.

Diaz finished the 2021 season with 3 wins and 1 loss, 46 strikeouts to 19 walks, and a 3.64 ERA in 42.0 innings in 25 games.

Diaz became a free agent on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Tigers on March 14, 2022.
