Mike Freeman, infielder, was drafted twice, once in 2006 by the San Diego Padres and in 2009 by the Arizona Diamondbacks, before signing with the Diamondbacks in 2010. He played in the Diamondbacks' minor league system from 2010 through 2015.

The Seattle Mariners claimed Freeman off waivers on August 1, 2016. He played in 8 games with the Diamondbacks and 13 games with the Mariners in 2016 and he batted .227 with 5 hits. He also played in 114 games in the minors.

The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Freeman off waivers on May 26, 2017. He elected free agency on August 5th and a day later, he signed with the Chicago Cubs. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 16 games with the Mariners, 4 games with the Dodgers, and 15 games with the Cubs.

Freeman spent almost all of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just one game with the Cubs.

Freeman became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on November 20th. He finished the 2019 season with 49 hits and a .277 batting average in 75 games. Defensively, he played at second base, third base, and shortstop and in left field. He also pitched in one game.

Freeman played in just 24 games in 2020. He had a .237 batting average.

Freeman was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on March 12, 2021. He played in just 37 games with the Reds in 2021. He also played in 56 games in the minors. He became a free agent on October 12, 2021.
