Mike Hauschild, relief pitcher, was first drafted by the Houston Astros in 2012. He pitched in the Astros' minor league system from 2012 through 2016. He was a relief pitcher in 2012, both a starter and a reliever in 2013 and 2014, and a starting pitcher in 2015 and 2016.
The Texas Rangers claimed Hauschild off waivers on December 8, 2016. He was designated for assignment on April 20, 2017, and returned to the Astros on April 22nd. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 8.0 innings in 4 games with the Rangers.
The Astros released Hauschild on July 30, 2018. He signed with the Toronto Blue Jays on August 2nd. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, pitching just 8.1 innings in 2 games with the Blue Jays.
Hauschild became a free agent on October 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on November 19th. He played in the minors in 2019, prior to being released on July 30th. He then played with an independent league team and in the Dominican Winter League.
Hauschild didn't play professional baseball in 2020.
Hauschild started the 2021 season in the independent Atlantic League. He was acquired by the Chicago Cubs on June 16th. He played only in the minors with the Cubs.
Hauschild became a free agent on November 7, 2021.
