Omar Narvaez, catcher for the New York Mets, first signed with the Tampa Bay Rays in July, 2008. He played in the Rays' minor league system from 2009 through 2013.

The Chicago White Sox acquired Narvaez in the Rule 5 draft on December 12, 2013. He spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons in the minors.

Narvaez joined the White Sox for 34 games in 2016. He finished the season with 27 hits and a .267 batting average. He walked 14 times, the same number of times that he struck out. Defensively, as a catcher in 34 games, he made 11 assists, 253 putouts, and 2 errors. He had trouble catching runners trying to steal, allowing 23 stolen bases and tagging out only two runners.

Narvaez played in 90 games with the White Sox in 2017. He finished the season with 70 hits, 10 doubles, 45 strikeouts to 38 walks, and a .277 batting average. Defensively, as a catcher in 83 games, he made 36 assists, 513 putouts, and 6 errors. He caught players trying to steal 23.5% of the time.

The White Sox traded Narvaez to the Seattle Mariners on November 30, 2018. He finished the 2019 season with 119 hits, 22 home runs, 55 RBIs, 92 strikeouts to 47 walks, and a .278 batting average in 132 games. Defensively, as a catcher in 98 games, he made 34 assists, 712 putouts, and 6 errors, and he caught players trying to steal 18.3% of the time.

The Mariners traded Narvaez to the Milwaukee Brewers on December 5, 2019. He played in 40 games in 2020, and he finished the season with a batting average of .176. Defensively, he was the Brewers' catcher in 39 games. In the postseason, he had no hits in 1 at-bat in 2 games.
