Peter Moylan, retired relief pitcher, was first signed by the Minnesota Twins in January, 1996. He was a relief pitcher in the Twins' minor league system in 1996 and both a starting pitcher and a reliever in 1997. The Twins released him on April 1, 1998.

From 1998 through 2006, Moylan didn't play professional baseball. He returned to his home country of Australia and became a pharmaceutical salesman. In 2006, he returned to baseball, playing in the World Baseball Classic for the Australian team.

The Atlanta Braves signed Moylan on March 10, 2006. He pitched in 15 games with them that season and he had a 4.80 ERA. He also pitched in 35 games in the minors.

Moylan had a strong season in 2007. In 80 games with the Braves, he had a 1.80 ERA, 5 wins and 3 losses, and a career high 63 strikeouts to 31 walks in a career high 90.0 innings.

Moylan had Tommy John surgery in 2008 and he missed most of the season, pitching in just seven games with the Braves. He came back strong in 2009, pitching 73.0 innings in a career high 87 games. He gave up no home runs all season and he finished with a 2.84 ERA and 6 wins and 2 losses. He had another good year in 2010, finishing with a 2.97 ERA in 85 games. He had back surgery in 2011 and he spent most of the 2011 and 2012 seasons on the DL.

Moylan became a free agent on November 30, 2012. He signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 16, 2013. He spent most of the 2013 season in the minors, pitching just 15.1 innings in 14 games with the Dodgers. He was designated for assignment on October 22, 2013.

Moylan signed with the Houston Astros on December 4, 2013, but he never played with them. He was released on March 26, 2014. He didn't play professional baseball in 2014.

The Braves signed Moylan on March 5, 2015. His time in 2015 was split between the major and minor leagues. In 22 games with the Braves, he pitched 10.1 innings and he had a 3.48 ERA.

Moylan became a free agent on November 2, 2015. He signed with the Kansas City Royals on January 27, 2016. In 50 games with the Royals in 2016, he had a 3.43 ERA, 2 wins and no losses, and 34 strikeouts to 16 walks in 44.2 innings.

Moylan finished the 2017 season with no wins and no losses, 46 strikeouts to 25 walks, and a 3.49 ERA in 59.1 innings in 79 games.

Moylan became a free agent on November 2, 2017. He signed with the Braves on February 19, 2018. He spent time on the DL in 2018 with a right forearm strain. In 39 games with the Braves, he had a 4.45 ERA in 28.1 innings. He struck out 23 batters and walked 18. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Moylan retired on February 27, 2019.
