Raul Alcantara, starting pitcher, was first signed by the Boston Red Sox in 2009. After two years in the minor leagues, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics in December, 2011. He continued to play in the minor leagues through most of 2016. He had Tommy John surgery in 2014.
