Rookie Davis, starting pitcher, was first drafted in 2011 by the New York Yankees. After pitching in the Yankees' minor league system for four years, he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on December 28, 2015, in the trade that sent Aroldis Chapman to New York. He spent the 2016 season in the minors.

Davis spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 24.0 innings in 6 games as a starter and 1 game of relief with the Reds. He spent the entire 2018 season in the minors.

Davis elected free agency on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 18, 2019. He spent most of the 2019 season on the DL and in the minors, pitching just 10.2 innings in 5 games with the Pirates.

Davis became a free agent on October 1, 2019. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2019.
