Scott Alexander, relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, was first drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2007 but he opted instead to attend Pepperdine University. After transferring to Sonoma State University in 2010, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals. He pitched in the Royals' minor league system from 2010 through 2014.
