Shae Simmons, relief pitcher, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 2012. He played in their minor league system in 2012 and 2013.

Simmons pitched in 26 games with the Braves in 2014. He had a 2.91 ERA, 1 win and 2 losses, and 1 save in 21.2 innings. He missed part of the season due to time on the DL with shoulder soreness.

Simmons had Tommy John surgery in February, 2015. He missed the entire 2015 season. In 2016, he spent time on the DL, still recovering from the surgery. He pitched just 6.2 innings in 7 games with the Braves.

The Braves traded Simmons to the Seattle Mariners on January 11, 2017. He pitched just 7.2 innings in 9 games with the Mariners in 2017, spending the rest of the season in the minors.

Simmons became a free agent on December 1, 2017. He signed with the Chicago Cubs on February 16, 2018. After playing in 24 games in the minors in 2018, Simmons elected free agency on June 26th.

Simmons hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
