Shae Simmons, relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 2012. He played in their minor league system in 2012 and 2013.

Simmons pitched in 26 games with the Braves in 2014. He had a 2.91 ERA, 1 win and 2 losses, and 1 save in 21.2 innings. He missed part of the season due to time on the DL with shoulder soreness.

Simmons had Tommy John surgery in February, 2015. He missed the entire 2015 season. In 2016, he spent time on the DL, still recovering from the surgery. He pitched just 6.2 innings in 7 games with the Braves.

The Braves traded Simmons to the Mariners on January 11, 2017.
