Tommy Kahnle, relief pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was first drafted in 2010 by the New York Yankees. He pitched in the Yankees' minor league system from 2010 through 2013.
The Colorado Rockies acquired Kahnle in the Rule 5 draft on December 12, 2013. He pitched in 54 games with them in 2014. He finished the season with 2 wins and 1 loss, 63 strikeouts to 31 walks, and a 4.19 ERA in 68.2 innings. In 2015, he had a 4.86 ERA in 36 games.
Kahnle was traded to the Chicago White Sox on November 24, 2015. He split his time in 2016 between the majors and the minors. In 29 games with the White Sox, he had a 2.63 ERA, no wins and one loss, and 25 strikeouts to 20 walks in 27.1 innings.
Kahnle returned to the Yankees in a trade on July 18, 2017. Kahnle elected free agency on October 31, 2020. He signed with the Dodgers on December 29, 2020. He spent the entire 2021 season on the IL recovering from Tommy John surgery.
