Tyler Austin, infielder, was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2010. He played in the Yankees' minor league system from 2010 through 2015.

Austin played in 31 games with the Yankees in 2016. He hit his first major league home run in his first at-bat in the majors on August 13th. He finished with 20 hits, 3 doubles, 5 home runs, 36 strikeouts to 7 walks, and a .241 batting average. Defensively, he played 27 games at first base, 2 games in left field, and 3 games in right field. He also played in 107 games in the minors in 2016.

Austin spent most of the 2017 season on the DL and in the minors, playing in just 20 games with the Yankees.

The Yankees traded Austin to the Minnesota Twins on July 30, 2018. He finished the 2018 season with 56 hits and a .230 batting average in 34 games with the Yankees and 35 games with the Twins.

Austin was traded to the San Francisco Giants on April 8, 2019. He opted for free agency on August 9th, after being designated for assignment by the Giants. He signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on August 16th. He finished the season with 29 hits and a .188 batting average in 2 games with the Twins, 70 games with the Giants, and 17 games with the Brewers.

Austin became a free agent on November 1, 2019. He played in Japan in 2020 and 2021. He also played in the Olympics for Team USA in 2021.
