Corey Seager, shortstop for the Texas Rangers, was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012. He played in the Dodgers' minor league system from 2012 through 2015. He batted .307 with 467 hits, 116 doubles, 278 RBIs, and 313 strikeouts to 144 walks in 390 games. Defensively, as a shortstop, he made 1,000 assists, 221 double plays, 514 putouts, and 71 errors in 360 games.

Seager joined the Dodgers for 27 games in 2015. He hit his first major league home run on September 12th. That day, he went four for four, walked once, and had a stolen base. In his 27 games, he batted .337 with 33 hits, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases.

Seager had an outstanding first full season with the Dodgers in 2016. He won his first Silver Slugger award for batting .308 with 193 hits, 40 doubles, 26 home runs, and 72 RBIs in 157 games. In the postseason, he batted .205 with 9 hits, including a double and 2 home runs, and 4 RBIs in 44 at-bats in 11 games. Defensively, as the Dodgers' shortstop in the regular season, he made 356 assists, 67 double plays, 195 putouts, and 18 errors in 155 games.

Seager won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2016.

Seager had a strong second season in 2017, winning his second Silver Slugger award for batting .295 in 145 games. He had 159 hits, 33 doubles, 22 home runs, 77 RBIs, and 131 strikeouts to 67 walks. Seager missed the National League Championship series with an injury but he played in the World Series. In Game 2, he gave the Dodgers a 3-1 lead with a two-run home run in the 6th inning. Seager had Tommy John surgery on May 4, 2018. In 26 games with the Dodgers in 2018, he batted .267 with 27 hits.

Seager spent time on the DL in 2019 with a left hamstring strain. He finished the season with 133 hits, 44 doubles, 19 home runs, 87 RBIs, 98 strikeouts to 44 walks, and a .272 batting average in 134 games. He led the NL in doubles (tied with Anthony Rendon). Defensively, as the Dodgers' shortstop in 132 games, he made 304 assists, 59 double plays, 138 putouts, and 15 errors. In the postseason, he had 3 hits, 1 doubles, 8 strikeouts to 1 walk, and a .150 batting average in 20 at-bats in 5 games.

Seager played in 52 games in 2020. He finished the season with 65 hits, 12 doubles, 15 home runs, 41 RBIs, 37 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a .307 batting average. Defensively, he played 43 games at shortstop. He was the Dodgers' DH in 9 games. In the postseason, he batted .328 with 22 hits, 4 doubles, 8 home runs, and 20 RBIs in 67 at-bats in 18 games.
