Jorge Bonifacio, outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, was signed by the Kansas City Royals in December, 2009. He played in the Royals' minor league system from 2010 through 2016.

Bonifacio played in 113 games with the Royals in 2017. He finished the season with 98 hits, 15 doubles, 17 home runs, 40 RBIs, 118 strikeouts to 35 walks, and a .255 batting average. Defensively, as the Royals' right fielder in 92 games, he made 160 putouts and 4 errors.

Bonifacio received an 80-game suspension in March, 2018, for the use of PEDs. He played in just 69 games with the Royals in 2018.

Bonifacio spent most of the 2019 season in the minors, playing in just 5 games with the Royals.

The Royals released Bonifacio on November 25, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on December 6th. He played in 30 games in 2020, and he had a .221 batting average.

Bonifacio elected free agency on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on May 25, 2021. He spent most of the 2021 season in the minors, playing in just 7 games with the Phillies. He also played in the Dominican Winter League.

Bonifacio's older brother, Emilio Bonifacio, is also a major league player.
