Nate McLouth, left fielder, was first drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2000 and he made his first major league appearance in June, 2005. McClouth played in 41 games that season, ending the year with a .257 batting average and 5 home runs. He struggled in 2006, batting only .233 with 7 home runs. The 2007 season was a better one for McLouth, with 13 home runs and a .258 batting average.

In 2008, McLouth improved considerably and he ended the season with a .276 average with 46 doubles, 26 home runs, 94 RBIs, and 23 stolen bases. McLouth also demonstrated his defensive skills in 2008, winning the National League Gold Glove award for an outfielder.

McLouth was traded by the Pirates to the Atlanta Braves during the 2009 season and he stayed with the Braves through the 2011 season. After becoming a free agent, McLouth signed a one year contract to return to the Pittsburgh Pirates for the 2012 season. However, two months into the season, the Pirates designated him for assignment. A week later, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles, who later decided to place him on their regular roster for the 2013 season. In 2013, McLouth batted .258 with 137 hits, 31 doubles, and a career high of 30 stolen bases in 146 games.

On December 12, 2013, McLouth signed a two-year, $10.75 million contract with the Nationals. The contract includes a team option for 2016. He finished the 2014 season with just 24 hits in 79 games.

McLouth spent the entire 2015 season on the DL. He became a free agent on November, 4, 2015, when the Nationals declined his option for 2016. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2015.
