Tim Lincecum, starting pitcher, was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2006. He spent 2006 in the minor leagues and he was called up to the majors in 2007, playing in 24 games with the Giants. In his first season in the majors, Lincecum pitched 146.1 innings and he had an ERA of 4.00 with a 7-5 win-loss record and 150 strikeouts to 65 walks.

Lincecum excelled in 2008 and 2009, winning the National League Cy Young award both years. He also led the National League in strikeouts, with 265 in 2008 and 261 in 2009. The following season, Lincecum, who is known as a strikeout pitcher, once again led the league in strikeouts.

Lincecum struggled in 2012, ending the season with a 5.18 ERA and a 10-15 record in 33 games. Even his strikeout numbers were low for him, with 190 strikeouts to 90 walks. In 2013, Lincecum had a slightly better season, ending with a 4.37 ERA, 10-14 record, and 193 strikeouts to 76 walks. The high point of the season for him came on July 13, 2013, when he pitched a no hitter against the San Diego Padres.

In October, 2013, Lincecum and the Giants agreed to a two-year, $35 million contract. His 2014 season was similar to his 2013 one, including pitching his second no-hitter, again against San Diego, this one on June 25, 2014. He finished the season with a 12-9 record, 134 strikeouts to 63 walks, and a 4.74 ERA in 155.2 innings in 33 games. In the postseason, he pitched just 1.2 innings in one game.

Lincecum was both a starting pitcher and a reliever for the Giants in 2015. In 15 games, he pitched 76.1 innings and he had a 7-4 record, 60 strikeouts to 38 walks, and a 4.13 ERA.

Lincecum signed with the Los Angeles Angels on May 20, 2016. He pitched in just nine games with the Angels in 2016, spending the rest of the season in the minors. In those nine games, he had a 2-6 record, 32 strikeouts to 23 walks, and a 9.16 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched.

Lincecum became a free agent on November 3, 2016. He didn't play professional baseball in 2017.

Lincecum signed with the Texas Rangers on March 7, 2018. He was released on June 5th, after pitching only in the minors in 2018. He didn't play professional baseball in 2019 and 2020.
