To create a custom app icon, you need Apple's Shortcuts app. First, create a new shortcut in the app. Select the Open command and then select the app with the icon you want to replace. Rename the app. Next, select the option to save the app to the home screen. Choose the image you want for the new icon. You now have a new app icon on the home screen that will open the app you chose to replace.
